Connect Local Postgres DB to WP-Woocommerce

So if I create a link to my woocommerce API in Dream Factory and a Link to my Postgres DB on my local machine, I should be able to write some code to do the updates, lookups etc inside dream factory? This could be a challenge for me as I am no PHP expert Cheers
