Sorry no solution from me. Just thought I’d bump this post as I am getting exactly the same issue when using nodejs to post data to a mysql database…
it is slowly driving me insane… 
I’ve used exactly the same syntax as listed here http://wiki.dreamfactory.com/DreamFactory/Tutorials/Posting_records with no luck. Tried from a REST client as well as directly from the DF API docs… same result
